Currently a Global Commercial Operations Leader at AstraZeneca, Shaima has over 10 years of experience driving launch and commercial excellence, customer engagement, and digital innovation in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries. In her current role, Shaima leads teams in several markets in the Europe & Canada region for the delivery of omnichannel campaigns and other marketing initiatives and content across all AZ therapeutic areas.
With unwavering commitment to providing a superior customer experience to HCPs and improving patient outcomes, Shaima has led the development and implementation of omnichannel customer engagement strategy at several global pharmaceutical organizations, including AstraZeneca, Takeda, and EMD Serono. She has supported brands in all phases of their life cycle, from pre-launch to LOE, and has led organization-wide change in many of her roles.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and PMP certification, Shaima started her career in the medical devices industry as a Systems Engineer before transitioning to project management of product launches and commercial excellence.
